Fifty-Six Capital is the London investment office of a Swedish family with seventy years in manufacturing. We invest the family's own capital in technology companies with early commercial traction.
Our background
The family's first business opened in Gnosjö, Sweden, in 1956, machining precision components for industry, and it is still in operation today. The family later moved into lifts. Its lift companies now manufacture in Sweden, Italy, Türkiye and India, sell through more than 170 distributors in over 60 countries, employ more than 1,300 people and have installed more than 215,000 lifts.
Our investments
From London we invest in technology companies that have early traction and a strong team and board. We make a small number of investments and take an active role in the companies we back, typically as lead investor, board member or adviser.
We look for businesses that make an industry more efficient, more sustainable or more transparent, and we support them for the long term.
